MoodBoards
In my visual research and initial conceptual explorations, I found inspiration in all things electric—looking at the various ways we generate electricity as well as how it is found in nature. I was fascinated by electromagnetism, lightning, solar energy, Kirlian photography, the aurora borealis, and bioluminescent plankton.
PROCESS
One of the most important parts in an EV motor are neodymium magnets which are fundamental to the technology. I used two high-powered spherical magnets and iron filings to create a magnetic field emanating from the icon 4 rings logo for an initial cover concept.
